Your order

Our roses are living, field-grown bare-root plants. Natural differences in root structure, cane shape and size are expected. Dormant plants will arrive without leaves or active growth.

We do not accept change-of-mind returns or cancellations after an order is accepted, except where required by law. This does not affect claims for damaged, incorrect or defective plants.

Inspecting your delivery

Please unpack and inspect your roses promptly. Follow the care instructions supplied, including guidance on storage when immediate planting is not appropriate.

If a plant has been damaged in shipping, email info@francisroses.com within seven calendar days of delivery. Include your order number, a description of the damage, and photographs of the plant, the packaging and the shipping label where available.

Each plant ships in its own box. If your tracking shows a box as delivered but it has not arrived, or if it has not arrived within seven days of the ship notification, email us with your order number and we will trace the shipment with the carrier.

Keep damaged packaging until we respond. Do not return or discard a plant unless we ask you to.

Packaging damage alone, minor cosmetic marks, or a broken side shoot do not necessarily mean the plant is compromised. We assess whether the condition materially affects the plant's health or ability to establish.

Plant concerns

Failure to establish

If your plant fails to establish, please report the concern by June 30, 2027. Include your order details and a description of the plant's condition. Photographs help us assess the concern.

Dormancy alone is not evidence of plant failure. We may request photographs and information about delivery condition, storage, planting, weather and care, and may recommend an appropriate observation period.

Incorrect variety

If you believe your plant is not the variety you ordered, please contact us during its first flowering season after delivery. Include photographs of the flowers and the whole plant where possible.

How we resolve concerns

We review each concern individually. If a concern is approved, we will refund the purchase price of the affected plant to the original payment method. Any applicable delivery-charge refund will be determined under the circumstances and applicable law.

Replacement plants are not available from this limited allocation.

We do not offer an unconditional survival guarantee. Our review considers whether the problem arose from the plant's condition when supplied, packing or delivery, or from subsequent growing conditions and care. Loss attributable to unsuitable storage, failure to follow reasonable care instructions, unsuitable planting conditions, or later animal, weather or accidental damage is outside this voluntary policy, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Reporting periods help us investigate promptly. They do not exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, and later-discovered problems will be considered in light of when they could reasonably have been identified.
