The 2027 Introductions

Four selections. A limited allocation.

The Origin Release offers collectors an opportunity to grow four new Francis selections ahead of their wider availability through independent garden centers. These four emerged from the hundreds of candidate varieties we received for evaluation in 2020. Each brings its own character to the release; together, they reflect the judgment behind the wider Francis Collection. A limited number are available directly from our Arizona farm.

Ordering, delivery and plant concerns in full

Before you order

A few things worth knowing.

Can I order more than one plant, or more than one variety?

Yes. Order any combination of the four, in any quantity, while each variety’s allocation lasts. Each plant ships in its own box.

What arrives, and when?

One bare-root plant per box, lifted from our Arizona fields and shipped in January 2027 with planting and initial-care instructions. Bare-root means no pot and no soil; the plant is dormant and ready to go into the ground.

Will these grow where I live?

All four are rated for USDA Zone 6 and warmer. They were evaluated in Arizona, California, Texas and Vermont. Each rose page lists its hardiness alongside height, width and fragrance.

Can I collect from the farm?

No. Every order ships. The farm is a working field operation and is not open to visitors.

Will these roses be available again?

Not directly from us. The Origin Release is a one-time offering from the farm. From 2027 the four selections reach gardeners the way the rest of the collection does, through independent garden centers and online retail partners.

I live outside the contiguous 48 states. Can I order?

Not for this release. Plant-shipping rules for Alaska, Hawaii, Canada and overseas destinations put them outside the January shipment.
