Vermont gave us a clear reason to pay attention to this red rose. We recorded vigorous growth, strong branching and very full rosette flowers that dropped their petals cleanly. Its foliar health was another strength in that evaluation.

Regional observationsA red hybrid tea of unusual authority. It flowers from the top of the plant to the base, which is rare in the class and is how it earned its name, and the autumn display is exceptional. Extremely disease-resistant in Texas and in our Vermont trial, and it did very well in California. Among the easiest roses in the collection to grow: plant it, and it asks very little in return.
